Dr. Bennie. L. Ervin, Pastor

Pastor B. L. Ervin was called into the ministry and ordained at Pine Grove M. B. Church, Jackson, MS, under the leadership of Rev. Spencer Houseworth on September 8, 1974.  During his tenure, Pastor Ervin pastored three churches:  Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Benton, MS; Rock Star Baptist Church in Brandon, MS; and currently Mount Charity Baptist Church in Ridgeland, MS.  Through the guidance of God and the Holy Spirit, he has been blessed in pastoring these churches.

 Pastor Ervin received the Bachelor of Theology Degree from the Mississippi Baptist Seminary in Jackson, MS, Master of Art Degree from the University of Biblical Studies in Bethany, OK and Doctor of Theology Degree, Magna Cum Laude from Slidell Baptist Seminary in Slidell, LA.

In 2019, Dr. Ervin authored a book called “God’s People the Church”. He dedicated this book to his lovely wife Ruby, who has always been his loyal supporter and also to, Mount Charity Baptist Church, who helped him become a better servant of God.  He wrote this book in memory of his mother, Rachel Ervin, who taught him how to love the Lord, how to respect people, the old as well as the young, and how to be honest and fair in all his dealings.
